Bible Study

Thank you for social distancing, wearing your masks, and understanding the guidelines we must follow to remain healthy and safe at church.  If you haven’t joined us in small groups, please join us this Sunday at 10 am.  If you have been exposed to the COVID virus, please stay home until you are virus free.  If you are experiencing fever above 99.9, chills, stomach pains, loss of taste or smell, or any other COVID symptom, please stay home. We will continue to stream Adult Bible study on FB Live and broadcast live on WLDX at 10 am each week.

Worship

We now have 2 worship services each Sunday morning, one at 8:45 and one at 11:00. You may attend the worship service most convenient for you.  Only the 11 am service will be broadcast live on WLDX.  Each worship service will be broadcast live on FB.

Wednesday Night

We will gather Wednesday night at 6 pm for our weekly round table discussion in the worship center.  Leading us will be Bro. Robert, Mark Brown, Gary Davis, and Stephen Fulmer.  Our youth will meet with Bro. Brad at 6 pm in the youth room.

Top 5 things to remember this week

  1. Pastor Appreciation Day for Bro Robert is scheduled for this Sunday, October 25th. A love offering is being collected.  Please designate your gift as pastor appreciation. Bro Robert and Miss Debbie will complete their 22nd year with us in January.
  2. Wednesday night, October 28th, is Fall Festival “Movie Night” for our children and church family!  We will gather outside at 6 pm for soup, a movie, and door prizes!  Social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged.  A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board for those of you willing to bring a crockpot of soup.
  3. A bridal tea for Evan Ashley Thomas, bride elect of Gene Fuller, will be Sunday, November 8th, from 2-3:30 pm in the KCFH.  The couple is registered at Bolling Pharmacy, Ellen’s, Charming Cottage, Walmart, and theknot.com/evanashleyandgene.
  4. Diapers for Hope’s Choice are being collected now and throughout the month of October.
  5. Our youth are scheduled to attend the Strength to Stand Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN, January 16-18, 2021.  Cost is $175 per person.  A $100 deposit is due for each participant by October 26th

Worship The Lord In Giving

Thank you for your faithful giving to Southside Baptist Church. We are adding an additional way to give which we trust will make this process even easier for you. Let me introduce you to TITHE.LY.

TITHE.LY is a branch of the Christian company Church Management. This well-respected Christian organization has launched a division to provide mobile and online giving opportunities to the local church. The giving process is easy, secure, and used by thousands of churches across the country. You will have 3 options:

1. You may download the free TITHE.LY app from the app store. Once installed, the app will direct you to create your own account. They will ask for some personal information (which will not be shared or sold) and an email address. You will then set up your account and password, along with a 4-digit pin number. Your next step will direct you to find your church’s name, Southside Baptist Church, Fayette, AL. Once your church is entered, you have 2 ways to pay: Debit/credit card or your checking account. Those tabs are at the bottom of the screen. You may set up recurring payments if you wish. There is a small transaction fee that you can choose to pay or the church will be required to pay it.

2. You may also give directly through the website at https://tithe.ly/give?c=697432. Or you may click on the “Donate” button below. The process will be similar to #1 above.
3. Thirdly, you may also choose to have an automatic check sent from your personal bank. Please contact your financial institution for details.

Remember, you don’t have to change your current way of giving. As always, checks and cash are appreciated. We are simply providing an additional way to give. Again, thank you for giving to the Lord. If you have any questions, please call our church office at (205) 932.6804
